Smart Page Not Found (404)

It's common to receive page not found errors in your site. Maybe you recently moved content, deleted content, or someone just has a bad URL.

HelpGuides does everything it can to ensure it redirects the user to the content they are looking for. This starts with smart 404 pages.

Smart 404 pages

When a URL is requested, such as /how-to-create-a-segment and a corresponding page cannot be found for that URL, HelpGuides will attempt to find the best possible matches using an AI scoring algorithm.

Additionally, all page not found errors are logged.

Reviewing page not found errors

In your HelpGuides dashboard, navigate to Housekeeping and find the Not Found (404) panel:

You can click on this name of the panel and open a more detailed report that provides more insight into total 404s and the URLs requested.
